New usages exist for geomodels and require to share and view models in different platforms. Most geomodel viewers are integrated in expert geoscience software packages which need important computing resources.
We propose a standalone viewer solution, where uploaded models can be displayed in most popular computers, tablets or smartphones.
Our solution is a client/server application where server is used to store the uploaded models. On the client side, we use a WebGL viewer based on three.js API.
Models can be uploaded in standard Eclipse grid format. On the client side, users access the model storage from their web browser, pick a model and select the property to display. Layer exploration and vertical exaggeration are tuneable.
Authentication and access rights management may be added to organize model sharing. Models annotation and short presentation could help to enlarge the non-expert usage of the geomodels.
